AVASIS: project management
2017
AVASIS was a Utah-based startup offering a comprehensive, distributed, cloud-based construction management platform. It was an exciting concept: a manager could handle billing back at an office, a site foreman could pass off on a completed subphase of a build, and a contractor could mark work as ready for inspection, all inside of a single shared interface that maximized collaboration across all phases of a project.
I joined AVASIS as UX Designer when this project was already moving quickly, so it was certainly a challenge to get up to speed on user background, needs, and the role that the company information pages served in the ever-growing AVASIS system.

The AVASIS package also helped manage your company's bidding process, automatically notifying attached users on the project and keeping your bid process fast and competitive.

Project completion
When a build nears its scheduled completion, the manager has the option to mark the project complete (which will archive the project and prepare final documentation), or extend the timeline. If the project is extended, the manager enters a new completion date which will update all of the remaining dates in the project.
